Yesterday our Wanyaari and Wadamba teams took a break from the office and spent the day together out on country. We started the morning off at Wurdi Youang with Uncle Stephen Walsh for a smoking ceremony and enjoyed some lemon myrtle tea by the fire

On this date in 1971, The Aboriginal Flag was first flown. 

The flag, created by Harold Thomas, made its first appearance at a land rights rally in Adelaide. Since then the flag has been a symbol of unity, strength and survival of Aboriginal people.
